doing the opposite: noticing what someone else needs and quietly giving it. Fairy lights for a reindeer's antlers. A gentle brushing for a donkey. A pinecone offered to a curious bear cub. None of it is flashy. All of it matters to the animal receiving it.

A Whole Community, One Night
As Tulipa moves from the snowy forest to the frozen pond to the barnyard, she brings together animals who'd never naturally share a Christmas Eve — foxes and penguins, a polar bear cub and a golden puppy, owls and alpacas. One by one, her small acts of
kindness stitch together an enormous, unlikely community, all gathered by the end beneath the same glowing tree.

Why We Wrote It This Way
This book was built to be read slowly, at bedtime, with the lights low. There's no big conflict to resolve, no danger to overcome — just one warm scene after another, building toward a soft, satisfied ending as Tulipa flies home through the twinkling night, already looking forward to next year.
